On Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, the Ozaukee County Jail Literacy Program and the Cedarburg Police Department hosted an Active Shooter Response for Civilians training session to show what to do during active shooter situation.

The training, specifically for civilians, was hosted at the Cedarburg Police Department and the goal was to make sure everyone knows what to do if the worst happens.

The instruction included active shooter response, as well as trauma care, and lasted approximately two hours. Individuals who are interested in the training but who missed the session, should contact the Cedarburg Police Department for future training dates.
